Visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the Republic of India headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, were conveyed. It was noted that long-standing and strong ties of friendship exist between our countries, and our commitment to deepening cooperation in all areas was reaffirmed. It was emphasized that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries are continuously and effectively working, with dedication and mutual trust, for the prosperity of our nations.
At the meeting with the Minister of External Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, special attention was given to the immense potential for joint initiatives, as well as to bringing new momentum to our bilateral and multilateral relations.
In New Delhi, the 4th "Central Asia – India" Ministerial Meeting and the Business Council session took place, where sincere exchanges of views were held on global and regional issues. The initiatives put forward by Uzbekistan were highly appreciated and unanimously supported by the partners.
Important agreements were reached on enhancing cooperation in the areas of security, high technology, education, healthcare, and culture. Entrepreneurs who were part of our delegation held productive negotiations with their Indian counterparts, resulting in the signing of concrete agreements on exports and investments.
This visit will contribute to further developing the strategic partnership between our region and India.
